In this article we will show you the screening and registration procedures for newly admitted students into Ahmadu Bello university Zaria. Read to the end to see the complete procedure in this article.

This is to inform all fresh ABU students that the registration exercise (Payment of School Fees and Course Registration) for the 2022/2023 Academic Session ends by Sunday, Midnight, 30th July 2023

ABU Screening Procedures 2023

Step 1: Accepting the Admission

The first thing to Start with is by accepting the admission on Jamb portal, then by accepting the admission this gives you access to printing the Jamb Admission letter.

All admitted candidate must have printed their jamb admission letter before getting access to departmental screen at your respective departments or departmental offices at senate building.

Keep in mind that JAMB admission letter is necessary.

Step 2: printing of ABU admission letter

All candidates are to login with their Jamb Number and State of Origin, to check Admission status via this link

Now, not everyone will be able to print the admission letter, except you have been given admission by jamb, then you will have access to print ABU admission letter.

Step 3: ABU departmental screening

Admitted Candidates are to be at their respective departments for screening with them.

original and photocopy of credentials: this includes SSCE (WAEC or NECO and any other a level cert.), First school leaving certificate (primary school cert.), Indigene certificate.

NOTE: it’s after this screen the department will determine your faith, if successful you will be cleared and in the portal your notification will go from admitted but not screened to screened. This process will enable you to pay your school fees and register other vital things.

The portal is not active at the moment for post utme students that’s because the results are yet to be out.

Step 4: payment of ABU school fees

After the successful screening, candidates are advised to visit the ABU microfinance bank pay or generate a remita to pay at any pos vendor or any legitimate internet cafe within the university’s premises and make the payment of your school fees via remita. You can even be able to make the payment using your own device but to avoid an unforeseen circumstance, we advise you visit cafes since they’re experienced in this kind of work.

Step 5: ABU admission letter and hostel reservation

After the payment of school fees, you can now return to the school’s portal to print your admission letter and register approved courses by the department.

For admitted students interested in the hostel accommodation, you can head to the school portal click on your preferred hostel, room and bed space, make a reservation and pay subsequently.

If you’re facing any issues on the portal, its best you let staffs at the department know and fast. The school portal at times experience glitches. But don’t panic this are just a minor issue that when reported it will be fixed. It’s advised that you always stay close to your device and the school’s portal.
